Success

Just a quick pick of my Ladies.
They made it without any heads exploding....Seriously, that is a real thing. If the air cannot escape, KABOOM! The bare feet came out chalky because the slip dried too fast....my most excellent Sinsay,  Karin at Blue Moon Doll Studio, has been a real gem and giving me little tips and faithfully answering my questions.

I hope everyone has a most excellent Fourth of July weekend!
Stay safe, but most of all, stay sane!!!!

  4. Looking good, although a little scattered 😉. It will be fun to watch you assemble them and give them each their own personality.

  5. That is so cool (well apart from the prospect of exploding heads!). The limbs and features on these 'girls' look so detailed and delicate. No doubt you will have a lot of fun with them.

  7. I will be interested to see what you do with your little masterpieces. Thanks for stopping by Ann's Dollhouse Dreams. Have you build a Fairfield?

  8. Carrie, you can refire the underfired pieces. Your kiln is not firing evenly if some pieces fired to Cone 06 and other pieces did not. Did you use cones? I take pictures of the dolls going in, so if something underfires, you know where it was placed and then you will know the area of the kiln's elements to check. What is the name of the mold with the covered dish? I've been looking for that one! Tamra from the minidolllist.
