What's Cookin' Good Lookin'?

Fall has finally arrived out here in the desert. It is going to be the coldest Halloween on record since 1978. We will be below freezing in the early hours.  I was 9 years old in 1978, so I'm pretty sure I was out trick-or-treating then....Ah, the good old days.

Here is a treat for you all. Meet Agatha. I made her for a contest on the MDL. I had to design a dress for a witch from a selection of distressed fabric. I'm not much of a fan of scary or evil things, so I made her a kitchen witch. Her presence in the kitchen is said to bring good luck and to prevent kitchen disasters. I made her a souped up purple stove out of the Chyrsbon stove kit. Any way, I hope you enjoy looking around her kitchen.

I think she is pretty

Happy Fall!

  1. Brrrrr! It's supposed to dip below freezing in northern California, too. I like your kitchen witch! What a great idea for a fitting but non-scary entry. You've given her a suitably witchy costume without going to the dark side. The hat is especially delightful. The purple stove is perfect, as is the potions cookbook. Fingers crossed for you!!

  3. Great job Carrie. Yours was one both my hubby and I liked. There were so many to choose from. I'm not a fan of scary either. I'll need to get me some character blanks for future doll making. I love the scene you made. Did you paint her face too?
